ISSUE 1

ISSUE #1

Editor's Note:
It was the twilight days of Seks-ua when i first thought about switching gears and making some sort of separate blog dedicated to modern extreme writing of all walks of life. But then i've got into The Kitchen Poet affair and that didn't pan that well. While Utsanga is a nice place for all things experimental - I always wanted to do my own place for experimental writing for authors from around the world. And that's why I started Brave New Word.

Note on the Text
These 555 sonnets are made with found lines and precise measures, a database and text analytic software. I crunched Shakespeares sonnets for word, syllable and character averages and these are my new measures. The lines’ oddities are their own, the arrangement is mine. After the text analytics and data entry, many ways of assembling are found. I hold to the turn (when I think of it) and that sonnets are poems of a certain size, but little more. Something in excess of the lines pass through, it’s that I’m chasing.

Ezra Pound once said "Make it new!" There is nothing much to add. Let's make it really-really NEW.
