ISSUE 10 PART 2

ISSUE #10 PART 2

Editors note:

Yep, there are two issues number ten. Why? Because it is much more easier to compile two issues at once - one with all-new contributors and one with tried and tested fellas. And since both are spawns of one editorial cycle - i see no reason to artificially split them.

So here is Issue Ten Part Two. Overall, this is much more visual issue. There are many great asemic pieces and there are a lot of boundary stretching things here and there. I like the way it flows - it is very abstract impressionist.

Without further ado - enjoy!

ISSUE 6

ISSUE #6

Editors note:

I'm gonna be a bit minimal this time. It was fun. Making this issue was really satisfying experience. I've met lots of interesting people, got so many ideas i'm almost overwhelmed. It is really good. I'm proud of this issue. It came together naturally as mesmerizing kaleidoscope with intense humming.

The submission flow was tight but relatively clean. 52 letters if being exact. Rather big number for a niche poorly named online magazine which is barely indexed in Google and barely exposed (hey, i'm in charge i can be honest). Even rejected submission weren't that bad. Just not something that can be used in BNW with maximum result. And I had a really funny discussion on politics of including bio and photo on one of the posts in the submission calls groups. Anyway...

Look at the line-up - all top-notch hardcore funkateers!

Carlo Parcelli - Wakey! Wakey! #6

Carlo Parcelli studied for many years with the Joyce/Wake scholar, Dr. Rudd Fleming, who translated Greek drama with Ezra Pound while Pound was incarcerated at St. Elizabeth’s hospital here in Washington DC. He has published two books in the style of Pound’s Cantos, ‘Three Antiphonies’ and ‘Fernparallelismus’. I have also published a series of 88 monologues, ‘The Gospel According to Simon Kananaios’ based on David Jones’ monologues of a Roman principalis in his volume ‘The Sleeping Lord’. I have a forthcoming epic poem about a fictitious First Century Roman cynic philosopher called ‘Canus Ictus in Exilium’ (Dog Bite in Exile).  My work, generally excerpted, has appeared in a number of journals and I have performed my work, especially ‘The Gospel’, at dozens of venues. I am currently an editor at FlashPoint magazine <http://www.flashpointmag.com/>, an online journal largely devoted to high-Modernist poetics.

Announcing Brave New Word Issue 6

Ladies and gentlemen!

Brave New Word #6 is going live on July 4.

This time - things were moving rather fast and the whole issue came together almost on its own. So smooth i can't believe it really happened. But it is. Anyway.

In this issue - you will see much more textual stuff. There's an epic poem. And a play. And even a QR poem and onomatopoeia rampage. And some steamy visual poetry. And some collages.
Spread the word and bring your friends!
